Malwarebytes blocking FM3-Edit and FractalBot installs

My security software, Malwarebytes (Windows) is blocking/quarantining an item named Malware.Sandbox.23 every time I try running the new FM3-Edit installer or the FractalBot auto updater. I'm in IT and have been using Malwarebytes with great success for many years. Here's their page for that class of malware: https://blog.malwarebytes.com/detections/malware-sandbox/. Never had this happen with many FM3-Edit installs/upgrades. False positive?

That's got to be a false positive.

All installers are scanned with the latest update of Microsoft Defender and no threats have been found.

You are correct.

We ran our installers on virustotal.com and no security threats were found. Virustotal is owned by a subsidiary of Google.

Thanks Michael. That's a very comprehensive list. I'll rack this up as a false positive on Malwarebytes and approve it for install. I can also let Malwarebytes know about this so they can whitelist it automatically, or you can if you think it would help other Fractal users that might be using Malwarebytes.
