Mako Mak4 in loop of Axe-II, NOT 4CM

Anyone tried this?

I really love the Mak4, it's a killer unit. I may want to pipe it through the back of the Axe-II and create its own patch in the grid.

Just wondered if anyone's done this with either a Fish or Triaxis or whatever.

I'm sure others have done it. It's the front half of the 4-cable method.

Works fine, volume balancing is important. If you put it in the loop you can put wah/compressor/etc. in front of the outboard preamp and delay/verb/etc. after. I've used a variety of preamps like this. Some folks have problems with grounding and noise for high gain use. I never had too much problem there.
