Looking for definitive answer about using wireless on input 2... no secret sauce?

So I'm looking at putting a cable input on input 1 and my wireless always sitting in input 2. Is there going to be any difference in whether the wireless is going into input 1 or 2 as it's effectively buffered? I know input one has the secret sauce IV circuitry but does that matter more for a cable?

The Secret Sauce boils down to additional noise reduction. You'll be fine. I've done that frequently.

On the Axe-FX (I presume it's the same on the FM9), use the tuner Source parameter to determine which input(s) it listens to.

Variable impedance is on Input 1 only. But your wireless has a low-impedance output, so the variable impedance feature won't make any difference.

With a wireless, input impedance doesn’t matter. But that’s not the same as “both you inputs are the same.” See post #7 above.

But here’s the real test: try them both. Do you hear a difference?
