Can the MFC-101 quickly change to distant patches like the One Control Gecko?

If not, can they be used in conjunction? Eh, I guess it's just a matter of moving presets around, but I'm using 11b, so no Axe Edit... although it's coming!

So much to learn with the Axe and MFC... so little time.

You have many choices... Copy them as you said so they are closer, use mfc song mode so you can organize whatever patches you want next to each other, you could change the tx/rx maps (ick).... But seriously look at song mode

It depends on what exactly you are trying to do, but you might want to look at

2) How to use an IA switch as a preset switch: Yeks MFC-101 How-Tos page - Fractal Audio Systems Wiki

The 2nd feature in particular is an easy way to get from, say, the beginning of Bank A to the beginning of bank C.

Song Mode is what I use on the MFC 101. The "song" being my 5 favorite patches. The term "Song" in this case is a bit misleading. It doesn't have to go with a particular song, in this case "song" means a logical grouping of AxeFX patches. This perfectly dovetails into the MFC's ability to address all 383 AxeFX patches. You can mix and match your faves into little groups. Works for me.
