Another option could be to snag two 1/2" x 15" (or so) pieces of wood or aluminum, then dual lock them to the FM9 on one side and the pedalboard on the other. This would give you the lift clearance over the feet of the FM9 and provide for superior hold as well.

Or just like we've seen all over this thread, take the feet off and just dual lock it to the board.

Not a bad approach. I used the perspex bits from @ZenRigs Man on mine to provide enough lift for the under-unit LED light strips. :)

As long as there's adequate clearance around the fan intake on the bottom, this is ok. Don't want to cook anything inside.... :)
 
So someone's midi controller got me thinking I may want to add one to my pedalboard case with my FM9.

Anyone now a thin midi that can fit in this space in red?

A bit pricey for what is does but I supposed the functionality/LEDs etc drive up the price.

EDIT: Looks like the best way to run it is using the M-Box which goes from a 5pin MIDI to a 7pin MIDI. Interesting setup but looks pretty clean. I'm liking it.

You don't need the M-Box. In case of the FM-9/FM-3, the MF-Cable is a better (and cheaper) choice

Oh wow that is SO cool! Do you make those cables with right angles, just curious? I am thinking of getting an NSP hardshell case and worried they may stick out too far. No worries if not, just curious and I may be able to make it fit anyways.

Thanks! I designed it to be as compact as possible, and width is something I had to live with because I'm singing lead vocal, and personally I can't step over things really well blind. I'll end up hitting buttons I don't want to Lol.

That's a clean HX Effects board. I have a small board with an HX Effects, 2 drive pedals and a wireless, but I actually had that one built for me.
 
Is someone using a Rockboard Tres 3.3 and can check whether the board will fit the bag with an angled IEC plug kept in the FM9? I want to build a board like this:

I want to put connect an IEC Splitter to my Rockboard Mod beneath the board which is connected to the FM9 via angled connector and to my Cioks DC7 powering the remaining pedals. I just need to know before buying that board whether i can keep the right angled plug connected as i don't want to pull everytime i move with it
 
Currently have a "sidecar" board on a pedaltrain nano like the smaller pic below, next to my FM9 on the floor. But after using the pedaltrain nano setup for the first time I can tell that patching the input, expression pedal, power, and both XLR outputs is going to get old.

So I'm considering a temple duo 24 to avoid patching and so I can use the M3.5 screws to mount the FM9

Two questions:

1) Will the tan thing fit above the FM9, or even below the board. It is 2" tall x 3.8" wide x 6.3" long.

2) Is there a flat board or different product that I can use screws to mount the FM9? I can always drill through a board but I'd prefer not to do that.

Here is my Duo 34. There isn't enough room in front to do what you want. If you get the 34 instead of the 24 you can line them down the side with your vol pedal inbetween like I have done. Works great. The board is a heavy bugger though.

Thanks, how about underneath? It just has my output XLRs so I don't really need access to it except to patch to FOH.

Long time, no see, Alex! I was using a Creation Aero board and drilled holes to mount the FM9 directly on it. The gaps lined up with the vent on the bottom. Benefit of the Aero series being that you could fit a shallow power supply underneath, since you'll be hard pressed for space on top of a true flat board.

You really want more of a 14-16" width to do what you want because I don't know of an IEC connection shallow enough to fit between the Launcher and the FM9. You want to think of the FM9 as more like 10" in width, and the Duo is only 12.5".

Alternatively, I'd consider stacking the Shure receiver on top of the Launcher if you don't need to regularly access those switches, but that also doesn't quite fit vertically with the DVP4 on a 12.5" width. Preferably not on an angled board though.
