Here are some pictures of a new FM9 rig I've built recently. Nothing you guys haven't already seen, and 100% inspired by what I saw in this thread
The board is Temple Audio Duo 34 with IEC Power Module on one side, and AMP Module on the other. Still need to test the power amp, but since I rarely use real cabs these days, having something this small just in case is super cool.
Initially, I wanted it as simple as possible but later decided to add some pedals. The TC Mimiq is IMO the best thing on the market as far as doublers go, especially when used before two hard-panned Amp blocks. The Bodyrez does what it says, and could probably be replicated inside the FM9, but this way I can simplify my presets and save some CPU.
I use piezo-equipped guitars, so the signal flow is:
Guitar TRS out -> MXR TRS Split/Tap ->
a) Magnetic Pickups -> IN1
b) Piezo -> BodyRez -> IN2
c) OUR 3 L -> Mimiq Mono IN -> Mimiq Stereo Out -> IN3 Stereo
The expression pedals are my old Mission EP-1 and SP-1, I've had them since 2013 or so. Never failed me!
The pedals are powered by Cioks DC7. I went for this one, because it can also deliver enough power to the Temple AMP Module with the 24V output. A basic IEC Y cable splits the power between the Cioks and the FM9.
The power supply, Mission pedals, and FM9 are attached to the board with screws and wide washers. For TC and MXR stuff, I used Temple mounting plates. Audio cables are all Rockboard flat, which turned out crucial to fit the pedals. I filed one of the larger holes on the board to fit a cable through. The underside doesn't look that great with all the cables (some of them too long), but the priority was to have the cabling invisible from the top.
Since I use the dedicated Temple Audio Bag for now (which is not that great), I decided to also get the KnK Shields screen protectors. Highly recommended!
