Let's see those FM3 rigs!

Here we go - first new rig since 2016 (centered around the never fail AX8) featuring the FM3 and FC6. The exceptional power of control and tone have me beyond gobsmacked now that everything is sorted and I've worked out the board layout and now gig tested it. I'll be doing some in-depth discussion of what I do with it but for now... here we go. I did the vinyl wrap... because it's cool. LED lights under the board shift between colors randomly. You can see this rig from space. I did a crappy but effective screen protector I cut from a cheap iPad protector I bought. This thing will be out there doing the work every week for me moving forward.

(LOL - excuse the dog hair and my ugly mug reflected on the screen. Both are unavoidable at my house!)

I love these small expression pedals from Dunlop, are they having a good feel under the foot ? (My FV500H's are 4 times the size (and weight). BTW what is the box with "25" ? A tuner ?

Kind greetings Scott !

OK, first I thought it was a tuner but then the button names seemed quite strange. Guess it's a very good system but way too expensive for my use. Very compact though. Thanks

It has a built-in tuner, so you were not too far off ;-) I have one and it's great.

Presets scrolled through with the mosky. Wah by the mission spring loaded exp pedal.
I was a total sceptic when I heard about the fm3 and moaned on this forum. Now I am a total convert. If this thing had a presets view screen on the main unit that allowed you to see where in your set list you were scrolling it would be perfect. Here’s hoping they put it in a firmware update. Even without I am a satisfied customer.

does the Airstep have a led state indicator when you turn on/off effects ?
looks like a great addition !

I just got my Temple Audio TRIO 28 and want to mount my FM3, FC6 and EV2 pedal. What's the consensus on how to mount?
3M Dual Lock or 16mm screws? I really don't want to remove the rubber feet.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I used 16mm screws. to attach FM3, FC6 and two EV-2s to a DUO 34 Temple Audio board.

While Dual-Lock has never come apart on me, the Dual-Lock adhesive failed on my AX8 board and left the AX8 dangling.

Also on a DUO 17....might be able to squeeze an AIRSTEP under the FM3....must resist !!!!!

I have re-purposed my AX8 rig enclosure from 2019 that had 4 expression pedal to fit the FM3, FC6 and 6 expression pedals. 6??? Hey, go big or go home--I can fade in and parameter adjust a handful of effects live. Rebuild just started last week and the 6 pedals are on a shelf (not painted yet) that sits above the two units. The new pedal shelf has to slide forward so I can get at the connection in the back to setup and tear down. Big Bertha II also has a full cover lid that covers the unit for transport. It is a bit of a beast to carry up and down stair cases.

2 new pictures show the completed rebuild. I actually took the large big bertha case and cut 3”off at the parting line. The 12” thick box is now at 9” when closed. Much easier to carry up and down stairs. New pictures show the light setup at my music jam station.
