I really would love to have a Laney GH100L in my amp list on the AXE FX3.
Any thoughts about this one? Such an ICONIC amp should be on the list of the greatest unit - AXE FX3 :D
Just wondering if Fractal audio is seriously considering to get it in the nearest future...
I know im just an ordinary guy that makes his wish here but im sure there would be a lot of other members that would love to have it!
Please Fractal! Give us "LenyG100L"!

I have yet to hear a model that can replicate a Laney tone. With so many amplifier models that overlap it’d be great to have sometime with completely different character. I’m tempted to buy one and send it to Cliff.

I owned a GH100L and it's basically a JCM800 with a built in boost. The toroidal transformer plays a role in reducing "sag", so try the Brit 800 with a preamp boost and the sag lowered.
I started going down that rabbit hole and there’s this midrange thing they do that I haven’t been able to replicate. Even the Ironheart line does it.

Despite never liking the few el84 amps I've had IRL; the IRT15 is my favorite over the 120. It sounded great. The GH100 I had (2x) back in the day were cool but I'd say I dug the IRT more over it as well.

I’m very close to grabbing an IRT15. Do you still have yours?

I wasn’t trying to snag yours. I just had a few questions. 🙂
I figured you know I never keep anything too long lololol

Again; great amp. They seem to have went up in price like everything else and I am not sure if I would pick one up at the current prices. I got mine for something DUMB like $350-$400? They've shot up quite a bit when you can find a used one. I was interested in the IRT SLS as well. 300 watts, no el84s. Those are pretty scarce and very expensive (all things considered) at the moment.

Play with negative feedback and bias parameters.
Here’s that distinct midrange (about the 12:10 mark):

If I take the JCM800 model, crank the master, cut the bass, mids at about 4, and treble around two, sag at nearly zero, I’m getting close. The tone stack seems to have a signature thing.

I have. Nothing really sounded better than the default. I played with the negative feedback and bias that @Budda suggested and it’s much tighter.

I was fiddling with a preset tonight and I believe it's transformer match that if you roll down to 0.5 (lowest setting) really brings on a mid shift that sounds bigger with a bit more clarity to the notes. This was a very fuzzy preset with P90's, haven't experimented with "regular" tones yet.

I’ll give that a try. I’m just starting to learn these advanced controls and it seems like it’s a dance to get all of them to work together. The bias and hardness increased the clarity big time, but it’s the mids.

And then you can go into the amp input EQ and/or output EQ and twist the mids and treble more if you want hehe.
