That would work.Correct. I was thinking the tap label to represent the hold’s function and then use the hold label as a ‘state’. Ex: name the hold function as “ON” so when invoked the label is ‘ON’ and when off goes back to the tap label.
That's a useful idea!Correct. I was thinking the tap label to represent the hold’s function and then use the hold label as a ‘state’. Ex: name the hold function as “ON” so when invoked the label is ‘ON’ and when off goes back to the tap label.
Or if you use the 'reveal hold' function. I have an external footswitch permanently assigned to momentary 'reveal hold' so I can always check all the hold functions of the onboard footswitches. I thought I also read that the hold function can be displayed in the mini-display (i.e., separate from using a custom name as suggested above), but I haven't tried it.The Hold label only ever shows when you trigger it...
Not possible currently... Except as noted already.I thought I also read that the hold function can be displayed in the mini-display (i.e., separate from using a custom name as suggested above), but I haven't tried it.
thanks - I just found the reference in the Footswitch Functions Guide I was thinking about - it says "The Mini-Display can show the function ("Hold Funcs") or your choice of custom label." I thought this was saying that there was a way to have any mini-display show the hold function of its switch, but it must just be saying that if you assign a switch as a 'hold reveal' you can have the mini-display for that hold reveal switch read either "Hold Funcs" or something custom, which makes sense. Not possible currently... Except as noted already.
