Just got Axe FX3 back after $550 of repairs and no sound output at all

Not sure if I'm just out of practice. But I turned it on, used presets and even custom input/output simple block, I see the spectrum analyzer showing the input, but nothing coming out of headphones or Output1. Total silence. Hopefully it's my idiocy, if not it's a bit of a bummer to have received it back without the output having been tested? Dying to be proven stupid at the moment as I do not want to have to wait or another send/receive repair phase.

Have you done a global factory reset, and then tried connecting input 1 to output 1 in a blank preset? This would validate that at least the output is working.

Output block is showing signal as I strum on the Tele that's connected to the front face instrument input. The blocks are input1 > output1

It's jacked up to 11. No sound.

Didn't do global reset. Will try that next.

Turn on copy out 1 to 2 and see if you get output from 2.

He said that he sees the Output Block showing signal at the meters when he plays, so it is not that.

It think it is futile that we speculate. He must contact the technician that repaired his unit for $550

If you have in-out with no amp or cab you have a DI signal and its going to be pretty quiet, no?

Yes it will be quiet, but if it (any output) exists, the problem will no longer be there.

In my experience it's quite the opposite. For some reason just a simple IN->OUT is crazy loud.

If you feel comfortable opening the lid, check the ribbon cable that connects to the I/O board.
It could have came loose during shipping.
Happened to me.

We tried all the above but no luck. My dealer sent it back to Axe to try again. Sure they'll sort it out this time.

My experience with Fractal units is they are bullet proof.
I am sure they will work it out.
