Joe Perry Using the AXE FX 2 but not to its full potential.

Hey guys I found this vid about Joe Perry's rig. He has the axe fx 2 in there but he doesn't use it like we do. He's using it as some sort of send or monitor to the drummer. Bit weir right? Anyway here's the link.

yeah, a axe-fx II as splitter for the drummer is somehow very weird.

Makes perfect sense. Since the drummer wants a dry guitar mix, and Joe wants amps with pedals in the front end, he splits his guitar signal and sends a modeled version of his tone from the AxeII (dry) to the drummer, while mics in front of the amps get the amp tone with effects and all. Nice...

That's what I meant to say eccentric. I just thought I'd post the link. Joe Perry's a Rock N Roll legend as far as I'm concerned he can use it how he wants. I just thought he might wanna play thru the axe like we do.
