Is it safe running Matrix GT1000FX into one Matrix NL12 cab?

Wondering how much one of these can be pushed without causing distortion issues or damage? I'd be running one in mono. Thanks!

Yes it is safe. Matrix recommend the 8ohm NL12, run one side of the amp only, Loud as fuc#.

Correction...we recommend the NL12 16 ohm variant. The peak rating of the cab matches up a little better with the amp's rating at 16 ohm. The speakers are pretty efficient and fairly loud so don't need to be pushed greatly to get a good level out of them and no reports of anyone killing one yet!

Happy to report after 16 plus gigs using a pair of 8 ohm NL12s with the Matrix GT1000FX mine are "still alive and well".

The speakers are so efficient that the odds are you will blow out your ears drums before anything happens to the speakers.
