So I love my AX8 but miss my wampler paisley pedal some. Right now I just run my ax8 through mains and my in ears. Would it be possible to hook up other pedals like the wampler paisley and if show how would effect tone of ax8 ?

Yes. Use the FX Loop block, and connect via FX Send and Return.

This pedal is the ultimate Swiss Army. Personally , I wouldn't add a thing. It's all in there , you just need to mess around with it some more. Amps , IR's , settings.

i wouldn't use the fx loop, i'd go directly from the Paisley to the input of the Ax8

I use a couple of my favorite drives in the loop. It sounds fantastic and it saves a great deal of CPU as well. They respond exactly how they did with my amps. Tinker it doesn't hurt.

I want to say that the drives in the box sound great as well.

This. I've got a couple of K*** drives and a Timmy hooked up this way, although it's hardly necessary with the Drive block improvements.
