Contrary to my earlier statement, curiosity and a bunch of free time on my hands got the better of me. The update went fine. Everything works as expected.
My patches sound every bit as good as they did before the update, which is to say amazing. However, zero discernible difference for the better or worse. If you're on 17.04 right now, I'd say that based on my experience of comparing the two versions at gig volume, the risk of something going wrong probably outweighs any benefit you or your audience will perceive. Wait until after the weekend.
