Small wall wart style, no separate power cable etc.

A slight concern I have is how much attention this will receive from Fractal after the forthcoming next generation is released — with this being the current generation.

Fractal’s track record for support and firmware updates suggests this shouldn’t be an issue for years, but still…

Hmmm... I believe my VP4 shipped with a 9V DC 1.3A negative center power supply.

I successfully power my VP4 with a Cioks DC7 with a current doubling adapter. Would that not work for the AM4?

The AM4 is spec'd at 1.5A. It uses slightly more power than a VP4 due to the higher clock speed. Most units will consume less than 1.3A but due to unit-to-unit variation we cannot guarantee that.

Can't. Cliff has mentioned "The processor in the AM4 is faster than the VP4."

Why would a faster processor on the AM4 hardware prevent it from running VP4 effects?
