INSTR INPUT and active pickups

Hi,

I have a mahogany guitar with EMGs (81+60) and the red leds of the Input shine until I decrease the INSTR INPUT to 18-20 %. Is it normal to have a so low value ?

It´s normal because the output of the pickups it´s very loud , you can adjust this with the input level.

I have a Duncan lil 59 in one of my guitars and I have to set the input to 22% for that

Yep, totally normal. I have a set of very hig output Bareknuckle pickups and I have mine set to 10% - 15%.

the axe-fx respect the guitar tone very much, the tone with the same patch with different guitars all sound different you can see it on this video of a axe-fx user that makes a single coil pickups for metal comparison

Yes, that's the whole reason the input sensitivity is adjustable.
