Installing Firmware V.8.00...troubleshooting!?

Hey folks,

Could need some help here, as I`m not sure what I`m doing wrong. Downloaded the v.8.00 Firmware, unpacked the rar. and placed the SYX file in the Firmware folder.
Open the Axe Edit, Settings-Update Firmware and select the SYX file. Then this happens:

Why?

MIDI Settings seems to be working, after all Axe Edit communicates w/AXE FXII

Anyone know what is the problem here? Any help would be greatly appreciated?
 
Suggestions:

Try a different USB port on your computer try to make sure you are not on a hub, allot of devices when upgrading firmware don’t like the hub and usually fail. I have had this experience for years with other audio gear and even cameras and camera lens.


The second would to be to use MidiOx Fractal Audio Systems Support

Forgot:

Did you verify the firmware version on the Axe Fx itself?
If not check it out
 
Did you power cycle the Axe as instructed on teh front panel after the upgrade ?
If so, check the firmware version on the Utilities tab.
If it's not V8 , the repeat the process....
 
Problem solved, firmware 8.00 updated. Connected the unit directly into the PC, ditched the hub. Also...read the instructions during the start of installation better, so...is all good!
