Great job on the Satch backing track....I heard Jeff Beck too. I rarely watch a 7:50 minute YouTube vid and I watched that one twice. I love it! I would ask for the preset...but I don't think it would help me! Nice job! THAT was inspiring. Thanks.

How the heck are you getting the long sustain in the Gary Moore sound? It is great. I am trying to duplicate DG's Marooned sound and I am having trouble getting the sustain on the upper frets. Is your Ibanez single coil or humbucking? Which pickup position are you using? The tone is incredible.

I suspect it is your technique and not the equipment but any advice would be appreciated.

I'm using an Ibanez RG 2550 with a DiMarzio The Breed in bridge, stock middle pickup, Dimarzio Air Norton in neck. I can upload those two patches if you want. The Gary Moore is really too bright sounding for my taste but fits the song. I made the other patch to play "For the love of God", I've yet to record that one but probably won't upload the video, i'm not good enough at fast picking :mrgreen: For the sustain thing, I don't know, probably a combination of patch setting, technique, guitar interaction with my HiFi speakers. I didn't play loud at all

Please do upload the patches and if you would share the IR provider and IR names it would be appreciated. FYI....Last night, I uploaded banks and IRs you shared this summer. There are some great patches in there? Did you switch to Red Wirez IRs? If so which ones are you using now? I have some more questions that are off topic with regard to the Advanced Whammy and intermodulation so I will send you a message. Thanks.
 
I think there is a problem with uploading files on the board at the moment ? Attachment quota reached or something… I'll try other alternatives this afternoon (I'm at work, it's 9:46 AM here in Mauritius)
 
Man, I dig your playing, you sure know how to make this thing sing... but on a side note, what kind of job requires you to live in mauritius? I'm just asking out of curiosity... Mauritius must be kickass, it must be just like living in paradise :D
 
No really a paradise here, trust me :( It sucks for doing live music and the mentalities are not that open. My day job is sub-editor in a French language newspaper

Thanks for your comments on my playing :) I wish I had more time/motivation to practice, right now I rarely touch my guitar more than two or three times a week
