IK announces profiling / capturing software for regular computers

I've enjoyed their amplitube plugin for years - cheap, and steadily improving - giving N stiff competition
 
Yeah, a lot of people sleep on IK Multimedia and Amplitube 5. Their new Mesa/Boogie 2 pack was crazy good, one of the best Mark sims I've ever tried.
 
from what I'm hearing from each video the the recreated amp in IK sounds has more hump in the middle frequencies and not quite as much bottom end

I have come across an open source Machine Learning code developed by Steve Ack (who I think also uses Fractal) - it's called Neural Amp Modeler. I haven't chance to compile the code, but from the sound examples it sounded very close to the original amp (the videos show all the graphs as well). He even does a comparison against the Quad Cortex which is very interesting.
