I/O Blocks

A lot of us are going to use the extra input and output jacks for external mono pedals and external stereo effects.

Looking at the axefx block grid: this would probably mean having to use two I/O blocks per external effect insert. For using external effects, I wonder if we can have a version of the I/O block that works as a single effect loop (mono or stereo). (one block in the grid for this, instead of two blocks)

It would save an extra block space in the grid. What do you guys think? (or is this already in the III?)

Splitting up the FX loop into separate input and output blocks is a big step forward in flexibility. Because you can place them anywhere, you can actually get longer chains than you could before: put a dozen blocks of effects before your FX loop, then insert the Output block for your FX loop at the end of the grid. Then you could place the Input block "return" at the start of the grid on a new row, and insert a dozen more effects blocks.

I wouldn't have it any other way.
