I Need a Chord Lesson

Definitely off topic here - but I am always amazed by guitar players who have zero knowledge about any kind of theory, patterns, or basic chord construction - yet still are able to compose and play amazing and complex songs and solos. Alex Lifeson and Mikael Akerfedlt are two great examples.

Technicality and creativity are two very different properties. I think they both compliment each other, although technicality without creativity is seriously boring.
 
Learn some songs from the early U2 catalog. It's a crash course on dyads, which imply a chord, and triads. Basic stuff but smartly implemented.
