Hi
Here is the new amp day
Since years, I was thinking to buy a dual rectifier cause I own a solo head 50 w and regret to sold it (…)

I was checking the used market as I often do, and see what??????

A dual recto with … two channels ?
Then I asked the seller to give me the number behind the head

R 351

Whattttttt ??? A Rev D????

A 1/4 the value

I take my car , try it one hour , fuck how it is great … a real clean , a huge dist not dirty as the others dual rectifier, like there is already a boost on it
Schumacher power etc ….

This is my 6th boogie, and it is under my jp2c now

Nice !! Does FAS have this model (I never use mesas actually). A guy in a soul band over here plays that amp and it sounds stellar as well for cleans as for dirty/rythm tones.

Probably modified then - next to the plug it says 120v
Maybe these didn’t change the chassis . I don’t know how it work 30 years ago when Mesa shipped in Europe. Maybe they change the things themselves . I don’t think that back in the day all the Europeans got an US plug and should have an adapter or going to a tech to change that . Who knows .

By the power cord it says 120V 4A, but the fuse holder is labeled 2A, which would be correct for 240V. It was most likely converted to 240V.

Great score regardless, the Rectos are my all time favorite amps, I’ll never part with my Roadster.

I owned the roadster (and roadking too) and it was a very good amp, super silent, I was impressed. The roadking was more noisy with the fan .

Now I understand the hype with the 2 channels recto . And even more with the rev F and the first 500 batch .

The thing is that you doesn’t have that extra super high « bees » in modern mode that the post dual heads got . I only tried the 3 channels dual rectos in the past and the vintage mode was more usable . In this head both orange and red channel are usable, and the sound is tighter . At loud volume it didn’t need a boost .

I really got luck with this one . I am looking for a dual recto heads since years, waiting for the one that make me pull the trigger … and the guy didn’t know that the head he was selling was rare and way more expensive now … that’s life 😁

Ssssssst, the baby sleeps ... Zzzzzzz
In fact, when I came home with it , this is what I was thinking :

After all the non - nights I have since one year with the baby (and it isn’t over), I fucking deserve this gift. And next time he cries, I will do a palm mute with my 8 strings with it 😂.

I hope he will play guitar (and will be lefty haha) , because all my gear one day will be in his hands

In most countries causing brain damage is frowned upon, but hey, rock'n'roll !

;)
