I almost have tears in my eyes but my new Slash GB LP standard in November Burst has to go….

I get more neck and back pain sitting down 8 hrs a day than standing up. The human body was not designed for sitting.

Having said that the LP is a damn heavy 10 lb guitar. I always prefer standing up but the weight of the guitar will destroy my injured knee and back, and it will be only a matter of time until I'm crippled again.

I always loved playing standing up even in my studio. It just feels more natural and hurts my wrists and neck less.

This is the very first time I've ever heard anyone claim playing standing puts less stress on the body than sitting, there's near 500 years of history of classical guitarists perfecting the ergonomics of playing while seated to minimize stress and injury.

Anyway, the solution for you if you want to keep the guitar and play standing up is without question a performance stand.
