Does anyone have a preset or tips on doing double-chorusing or chorus and detune thing that Dann Huff and Michael Landau were known for? I just can’t get it to sound the same on the Fractal. I know Huff used a Tri stereo and Dimension D, but I need the button 4 on the Dimension D because that’s the setting Dann used from what I was told. Fractal units only go up to Dimension 3 for
some reason. I also can’t seem to get the Tri stereo to swirl correctly. The hardest part seems to be balancing the mixes of the two choruses and /or detune. I also don’t know what units go in series and parallel, so the routing is confusing as well. Another thing is that I can’t tell what type modulation they used on the solo/lead stuff back then. I can’t tell if it’s pitch detune or if it’s a chorus or if it’s just everything mixed in with the distortion. It doesn’t sound too modulated like a lot of distorted chorus does, but it also doesn’t sound quite like pitch detune like you’d hear with old EVH stuff.
