How would you design a patch to duck a looper with EQ when using other scenes?

Just thinking about how I might go about this:

I have an acoustic guitar preset where I run my guitar with a K&K Pure Mini pickup in it through the FM9.
I like to use this setup for looping, where I'll play through the framework of a song, loop it, and engage another scene with a boost to play leads over top.

It's an incredible way to practice. However, acoustic guitars with pickups are challenging to get right, and even with a +5dB boost the lead scene still can get lost, or at least not cut as nicely as I'd like it to.

I'm brainstorming a patch where scene 1 is the basic rhythm, and then whenever another scene is engaged, the looped part would have an EQ applied to scoop out the regions where the lead would want to live - thus dropping the loop volume a bit as a byproduct of the EQ, and making room for a more audible lead.

So I put that thought to you, Fractal Forumite - any ideas?

Place the looper in a parallel path with an EQ after it. Engage the EQ on the relevant scenes. You could plane a volume block before the looper with bypass set to mute so you can have the option of having your lead sound completely bypass the looper when needed.

Of course, sounds simple - I will test it out today and report back. Cheers, Leon!
Could you elaborate a little bit on your suggestion of using the volume block?

For some reason I was imagining having to use the Mixer block(s) to achieve this - which I think could be done - but would probably be overkill.

When putting the Looper and Parametric EQ onto their own parallel path, and then merging it back to the main path before Out 1, I get a decent bump in volume for the whole chain. And unlike other blocks, I don't have a Level control on the looper. How should I gain stage this?

I can't make the -6 dB compensation in Level on the Parametric EQ, because then in Scene 1 without it engaged I would have a volume spike of +6dB. Any ideas?
