I have some expensive home repairs that need to be completed in the next few months before winter and I have some expensive health issues that I need to take care of, so I have no choice but to sell most of my music gear 
The good news is that I'm keeping my Axe-Fx II rig.
I'm not having any success selling my gear locally, so I'm probably going to have to sell it on here or Ebay.
How is the best way to ship things like Guitars, Basses, Tube Poweramp and Tube preamp? Some of the Guitars and Basses I'm selling don't have cases. Should I pack them myself or have FedEx or UPS do it? What about insurance? My past experiences with shipping insurance were not fun and it seemed like they only protect items you have them package, even though they'll sell you insurance for items you packed.
