How do I use my mic with AX FX 3 as my audio interface.

I own a AX FX 3 Mk2 I want to be able to record guitar, and sing. I am struggling to figure out how to connect a mic to get sound. I purchased a 2i2 scarlet for the pre amp, and connecting the microphone to the 2I2, and can see its getting signal then routing the L out to the input 2 of the AX FX 3. My studio monitors are connected to the out 1 of my AX FX 3. My current daw is studio one

If your mic doesnt need phantom power, the axe3 can run something like an sm58 via xlr in.

I have a preset using in1 for guitar and in2 for my mic. The mic path is in2-drive-out1+out2 so that I can hear myself sing and play whether Im recording or not. I could probably use the preamp in the cab block instead of the drive block, but its working fine. Im only making demos, however.

The Tube Pre model in the amp block is great aswell for acoustic/vocal inputs IMO

there are many ways to handle it, but I use a mic preamp that has a DB25 connector, and I run one of the leads out of that into a 1/4in input on mine.
