Today I have tried using the effects loop for the first time.
I want to use it to add some of my guitar pedals in chain. I did everything according to the manual: so pedal input to effect out 2 of the Axe fx and pedal output to input 2 of the Axe fx. Then adding the Fx Loop block in the chain before the amp and cab block. Then dialing in the desired output on the front output 2 knob of the Axe fx. Kept everything in the Fx loop block at default (so zero). But there is quite a lot of hiss when engaging the Fx loop. Is this normal or should I use different settings? The effect pedals I used are not noisy at all normally. All cables are ok.
Also tried using a higher main volume setting in the Fx loop block and then lowering the level in the Fx loop block. There is less hiss this way but the tone gets altered drastically. So that is no solution. Hope someone can help me with this.
