Hexagon stamp marks on foot controllers?

Can anyone explain why there are hexagon stamp marks on the surface of a lot of brands of foot controllers? Is it something to do with the manufacturing process? Are these present on the FC controllers?

Ahh that could be. Welded standoff or press fit.

They are from the standoffs... This topic came up in the past, otherwise I'd have no idea.

Those are PEM studs or standoffs. They are press-fit into a hole. The circuit boards are mounted to them.
