Help with High Gain like the Chug Pedal

You’re using a preamp pedal in place of an Amp block. That means that there’s nothing modeling the power amp. Power amps are essential to chug. What you’ve proven is that the preamp pedal by itself doesn’t chug.
That's a bit oversimplified I think.

Ola has demos recorded straight off the pedal that sound pretty chug-like to me. (Disclaimer: not my wheelhouse.)

Sorry but for my opinion it is massive chug...

Check out Leon Todd’s block library there is a multi band compressor in there called tight
Also you can use gate to clamp down tightly like periphery does
Also try putting the Horizon Drive in front of an amp Like the 5153 ,, it will chug like a beast

check Ola's video on the fm3 for some ideas:

don't be afraid to push the input trim up to 1.5-2 it can really transform some amps for hi gain stuff

try the EVH 50 watt Blue with overdrive up over 7-8, preamp boost try the FAS boost or lower the gain and try the Shred boost

fryette d60 more with input trim at 1.5+ and a healthy preamp boost in amp block either Fas or Shred

put a low cut on the input eq (around 80hz)

better labelling this post will help too, people are generally very helpful here

I didn't know that you could change the thread title later otherwise I would have done that sooner. Does anyone have an example preset that might work? So that I can take a look at it and, above all, understand it?

It chugs not too bad direct into the interface. Feed it through a power amp that's being stressed a bit, and it'll be chuggier. In the second video, it's going into an amp, and accompanied by bass and kick drum — and it chugs way more.
