Headphone correction EQ curves

Hi guys, I'm really a newbie here, it's my first time with fractal, and by far, this is my top gear acquisition, so be patient, haha this thread sounds fantastic, but I don't know how to do it. Can anyone explain how I can use this with my headphones and my AXE FX3? Thanks!

There are posts that describe how to do it, in several different threads. It’ll help you to become familiar with the search function of the forum. Here’s two of mine.

I saw someone say you can download and IR of the headphone correction to apply to the IR block. I don't see where those are on the site? I am using ATH-M50X and all I found was the PEQ/GEQ page?

Download this file
Put it on the two spots of the IR Player block
Important to pan one -100 and the other 100
Make sure it’s before Output 1 block (for headphone use)
Enjoy 😃

I downloaded the .wav file and when I opened it with Cab manager it split it into two IRs (a Left and Right). Is that the correct way to import it?

yeah I just looked through a frequency analyzer and they both have the same correction freq response for left and right response so it should be fine

(ideally they should be different but the correction is based on the average correction response of a number of samples of the model)

you can also just drag the file onto where the purple text is

again make sure one is panned -100 and the other 100 and Mode set To Parallel not Series with both IR Length set to Max for best resultsScreenshot 2023-01-02 173453.jpg

Coming back to this...again there is only one .wav file to download. So I should just drag and drop the file twice, once into Cab 1 and Cab 2 on the IR block?

when it did this for the fm3 - when i open the directory where the file is it will split the file into a left and right file and then yes just drop into cab 1 and 2 and pan accordingly

When you say directory, you mean you opened the .wav file through the browser in Axe Edit to add as a "cab IR"?

Yes, pan accordingly

I assume the IR player EQ correction is only in effect for the Axe signal chain and does not apply to USB audio or any other audio source into the Axe correct (when using headphones)?

Whatever is after the IR player block (which technically should be Out 1,2,3 or 4 blocks) is affected
