Having problems with volume going out to PA on axe fx III

For some reason I have all the latest updates on my axe fx III Mark II Turbo. But I seem to have problems with the volume on all of my presets being way down? I could hardly hear it out the PA. But it sounds fantastic through a set of headphones with the volume turned only halfway up directly plugged into the unit itself. I do not remember having this problem on my axe fx II Mark I before. But the preset itself sounds awful because I think the volume is so low. Can someone give me a step by step to just make sure my preset levels are where they should be to go out to a PA board? I am trying to find the best way to do this by reading different posts but I am getting confused as to what is the best way to do this so I do not clip. If you give a step by step, just assume I do not know anything abut this unit as it is brand new to me. I did it in the axe fx II by going to the utilities. Someone posted that if you just turn up the volume on the amp block that it was the best way because it did not drastically change the way the rest of the amp worked. Is that the best way? Can I do it from the front panel? If it is, just let me know how to do it from the front panel.I was not even able to play in church today because I could not get the level up as the unit is so new to me. If anyone can help please let me know what I am doing wrong. Thanks.

Which output is connected to the PA?

What cables are you using?

Where's the Output level knob on the front panel set for the output you're using?

Is that output set to -10 or +4?

Also, it will depend on your mixer's input.

Use the Preset Leveling tool in the editor. Target preset levels to the 0 mark in the VU meter.

Keep in mind that headphones have different impedance and their levels are not a good way to judge as some will be loudr than others.

Check the Output setting in the I/O menu. It defaults to -10 dBV. The Axe II's outputs were +4 dBu. Use that setting for the output level in the I/O menu.

Your presets should be leveled so the Out block level averages roughly around the 0 dB line on the Out block meter. That level leaves 12 dB of headroom and is a good nominal level for recording or analog output.

With your presets leveled to the 0 dB line in the Out block meter, about 3 o'clock on the front panel OUT 1 and 2 knobs gives you full nominal +4 dBu output.

Well I used the preset leveler in the axe edit software....but ALL of my presets were way way down...not near 0db at all! I had to go through all those presets I was using and all of them were way down...some were so low I could barely or could not hear them at all. No wonder I was having trouble hearing them through the PA! IT WAS NOT THE PA'S FAULT...it was on the axe fx side! I probably was hardly sending any signal to the board. I never had this problem with the axe fx II mark I I had....I simply had to make minor adjustments to that.

Did your levels change after installing an update?
Well to tell the truth....the very first thing I did...was install an update to everything from the USB driver to the firmware. I do not know how it sounded before, because as soon as I got it in I updated it! But it could have been.... I just do not know for sure as I have nothing to compare it with. I just know I have had an Axe Fx Ultra and an Ax fx II and never had a problem with my presets being so low I could barely hear them. But I finally got it sorted.

I would definitely do a factory reset, delete all existing presets, and download the latest version of the factory presets and start fresh. The factory presets are quite well leveled. You should have no level issues at all with those.
