Have you found “your” amp in the FM3?

All i ever wanted was the classic cranked modified Marshall sound. I always started with the JCm800, Jubillee or Plexi, or the variants ect.. All of them can crush. And i thought i had it. But one day i decided to scroll through amps with everything else the same and i came cross the Angle Severe, and with the same settings, post eq ect, It was a big DING! Like wow there it is so much closer. And funnily enough i'm not a huge fan of the brand that it's based off of. They have good stuff, but there was always some signature tone about them just wasn't there for the money.

I don't really care about models of tis and that or how close they are, not in a untit this deep at least.. All i care about is the end result. With Fractal, You can - for the most part pick any amp in the general range of what you are going for and make it sound like anything. It's not really set in stone. It's just a pallet to work with. But this got me there quicker. Now I can't even be bothered to try anything else for high gain at this point, i got what i want out of it. I got basically what i've wanted for my entire life as a guitarist. On accident. So yeah, Angle Severe.

Also i would add that LT's cabs are a huge contributor to it. LT mix 2 and LT Mix 7 dual cab mix. Best (for me, for what i'm looking for) impulse responses i ever tried even over anything i've bought or ever even mixed or convoluted, so every preset for rock metal starts with them.

I have a small collect of my own presets that covers everything for me and within those I have my favourite amp models which are:

Soldano SLO100 Lead
Marshall Plexi 50w 6CA7 Jumped (my new love!)
Fractal Modern III
Friedman Smallbox
Friedman Dirty Shirley 2 (Edge of break)
Carol Ann Triptik Classic & Modern
LA Session Clean (preset) not sure what amp this is but this is my main clean tone.

I want to like the deluxe, but I have a surprisingly difficult time getting it to work for me.

It's very accurate to my DRRI I gigged with for years. Turn the gain down to point of almost breakup, drop the bass, add treble. Pair with a good IR, if you need more low end, just add more of a ribbon mic to the tone.
