Have we reached the end of new amp models in the Axe 3?

I do that before the song starts. After that, I'm more worried about playing the right thing and stepping on switches that were there a second or two before the lights changed and the glare blinded me.
Completely understood. Light glare is a real thing!
A DAW is making most of my preset changes for me, and while it is usually pretty reliable, every once in a great while, it does something kooky. I've got about 2 seconds to recognize it and make a change. I've learned to look over and double check. But damned if I'm not getting older and blinder.

I wonder what guitar amps aren't actually covered at this point . By that I mean what are some amp tones you can't achieve with what's already there? Are there really still amps out there with such unique characteristics that haven't been modeled?
Not today

yup, would love to have that one, but you can also use deliverance model inside axe and tweak it with ears to get closer to Pitbull sound.
I’ve tried that, yeah. I can definitely get a good sound out of it. They’re quite different, though. Having the Ultralead or CLX would be so awesome.

As ever for the 12th time… if you never owned the amp, it is hard to be sure that your tweaks are valid .
Having directly a amp sim is for the 99% of musician that are here to play with the model, not building it (Even if it’s interesting to know how to do it) only a very few are able to do that and this is not what you buy when you buy a modeler .

you want a mark 5? You choose the mark 5 in the list and tweak it to your taste.

I'm perfectly happy with what's in the box, especially some unusual boutiques like Carol-Ann, Bludo, etc. I doubt I'll ever "need" more, but...

If more amps are going to be modeled anyway, I'd vote for a TopHat or three (preferably the more original models, not necessarily their take on plexis, etc), and a few of the more distinctive Suhrs and Dr. Zs.

I think there won't be any more amps. I also thought this when this was first posted before the Revv's were released. I'll also think it after the next amp is released. I think Cliff is done and not planning to add anything more.

I think the biggest issue at least with the modern PCB amps is the lack of schematics, Cliff posted on another forum that without schematics he has to trace the circuit and it takes a one day job into a 3 week job
Also it’s extremely difficult task and almost impossible on some amps

I thought I would get a Helix so I could have my vintage Orange amp model… sounded/responded very different from the real amp. It’d probably require a push from competitors to get significantly more amp models in the fractal line and that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen any time soon.

You think that because there's only one new amp channel in this beta, and it's not the Orange you want? Sheesh.

Of course I have no idea about Cliff's priorities, but it's my clear impression that he's not slowing down or anything.

Fractal has such a lead on the other brands that it’s like a Roadrunner and Coyote cartoon. They’re so far behind Fractal’s capabilities that they only see dust and Fractal isn’t watching the rear view mirror.

We have so much flexibility to modify the Amp models that it takes an amp designer or good tech to take full advantage of the options. We’d do well to work with some of the forum members who know the circuits and tweaks to begin adjusting the existing types to cover all the requested amps that are not currently modeled. Then we can share the modified blocks, and identify when an actual model change or addition is needed.
