Have we reached the end of new amp models in the Axe 3?

i am wondering if the time of copying actual amps on the market is not over. Commercially speaking sure, everyone want their favorite amp modeled, but the knowledge and the technology could allow us to have any sound we want, imagine a lead without any fizziness, pure liquid…. A distorsion will total clarity.

Laney would be nice. But that's only because I'm play in a Sabbath Tribute band. But if it never happened, I'd be more than happy with what I have. The differences are so minute that I have a hard time distinguishing it and definitely the average person listening to it couldn't.

This reflection is interesting!
It's an excessive megalomania already!
What has a name and matters in today’s world is all in this amazing device!
I don't think everyone has tried half of what's in it!
Then when it all becomes chewed bone, maybe it’s worth a look!
Although I've been looking for sound all my life!
There is always better than good! - and the fractal design engineers can profess this principle!
Can the question arise? Maybe I'm unassuming?

What I would like to see (perhaps on the AF4) is for Cliff to do like IK Amplitube Custom Shop and let us have the ability to add other amps at a price. If it's a lot of work to add more amps, he should get paid for his hard work.

They did! and afaik Revv agreed to send over an amp etc but never got around to doing it. In their Revv livestreams over the past year and a half, they've repeatedly mentioned that it's on Revv's todo list but, sadly, it never seems to get done.
its sounds like they are working on a plug in most likely with NDSP. , so that would l be the end of them sharing intel or being interested at the moment I would think

Too bad they can't just be honest about whatever they're planning to do, or not do. Why not, I mean, jeez?!?

Because there are companies in the modeling world who will do whatever they can to thwart another brand’s success. Giving away any kind of “We’ve got this in the works” opens the door for another company to come in and try to derail it in one way or another. I wouldn’t be surprised in the least bit if that’s exactly what’s occurring with the Revv amp if what was speculated is true.

I'd heard that somewhere recently also and was going to mention it here but I could not find the reference to where I'd heard it. Too bad if it is the case - would've been nice to see Revv here - I don't generally like the sound of plugins as much as stand alone hardware based modelling but I do curiously indulge in that side of things, so if Revv did a plugin I'd be down for it though I'd prefer they partnered with IK Multimedia, since, contrary to popular opinion about plugin amp sims, I like IK's stuff a little better than N (I have the full Amplitube license and N's SLO). It looks like Amp makers may be cashing in on branding via ampsim plugins that model a given amp along with the hirez graphics and genuine logos / branding to match - I'm seeing this more and more. Who knows - maybe as much $ can be made on that as can be made on selling the actual amp.
