Ok 20 minutes in to this and I am officially having fun. I was able to take a deluxe reverb and give it 6L6 tubes (fav mod) and it sounds like it. WOW

Yup. Fractal is legitimately awesome.

On the extended warranty: I got it for my FM9 and am happy I did. Not because I've had any issues--I haven't. It's because the peace of mind is quite valuable imo. The thing that made me do it was when I had a problem with an FM3. The USB went out and that repair necessitated a whole new main board. That repair was like $500+. I haven't heard anything about the FM9s having that issue (or any other issues really) but it's just nice to know if I do have an issue, it's covered. YMMV of course.

@cliff - can you add an olefactory unit on the next-gen units so they smell right, too?
