getting a lot of interferance when using my usb port

whenever i hook up my axe 2 to my laptop with a usb port, i get a lot of white noise, interference type sounds coming out of my atomic cab. as soon as i pull the usb port it goes away.

has this happened to anyone else?
any recommendations?

Electrical noise coming from your laptop.
Do you have a grounded power for your laptop?

yup.. common problem w/ laptops and ground noise from power supplies.
Does it do it while running on battery ?

the battery is shot on it so i have to use the power supply.
ill try hooking the power supply into my furman. hopefully that helps.

More simple than that.

Take some insulating tape and you put it in the ground conection laptop power cable.
