FX8 No effects coming through

Just got my unit. Set up in global for post effects correctly ,routed correctly, getting guitar signal but no effects. Ideas.
band is here now.......argh! Ideas?

Sorry band practice took precedence....Send from amp going to post input on FX8 output from post FX8 to Input of amp loop no VU reading but dry signal is coming through
 
Aww shoot, I thought I solved it since you didn't reply ;)

Where is the guitar plugged in? What preset number are you using?
 
Page 31 **pre set configuration** As usual I blew through manual and knew had all the connections correct as stated in the OP. The key was because I am using it 'post effects' in the loop in needed to; press PAGE, then use the VALUE knob to set all to 0/8 positions -wala!
Thanks guys for chiming in.
I will include this in my video for 'knuckleheads' like me who have 10 minutes to set up the rig after a 10 hour day at the PT clinic right before band practice -not a good idea.
Anyhow got some good sounds so far and 'Scenes are great' I could likely live on bank one for a long time! Stay tuned peeps!
