That is my fear for the FX8. All digital gear becomes obsolete sooner or later. Landfills are full of Line 6 Spider amps and PODs. As opposed to what are considered valuable analog gear ( amps, pedals, etc) that are lusted after because of their full, organic sound. I am not knocking the FX8 or AX FX per se, but there will come a time when they are replaced and no longer supported. As a person of modest means it is ridiculous to try to spend the cash to keep up with new, faster, more capable digital gear. I am always enchanted by the all-in-one idea of the FX8 or even the AX8 and Ax FX or Kemper Profiling Amp but this is convenience based and the "next shiny object" syndrome.

But damn, if it doesn't sound pretty good.
