Free Mesa Preset Pack - AX8

2112

Axe-Master
I posted this one up in the Axe II forum as well, but I'll do the same for AX8 guys who don't necessarily lurk there.

I love the Mesa models in the Axe so I decided to put together a preset pack that covers most of the models in a variety of styles. I've built them all around factory cab #149 (OH 4x12 TRAD V60 FULL ) for anyone who wants to build live presets around them and have some consistency in the IR department. I've roughly levelled the presets by ear but some will need to be tweaked to suit different setups.

There's 16 presets ( I used Fractool to convert them from AX8 to Axe II) built around the following models;

Lone Star Clean/Lead
MK IV Clean/Crunch/Lead
Triaxis Green/Yellow/Red
USA C++ Metal/C+ Crunch/C+ Blues
Recto Old Red/New Red/Old Orange/New Orange
Subway Blues

Enjoy!

Great job, il like it, i Downloads the pack thank

Thanks for sharing your presets, Leon.

One question, I noticed that 46-5 & 46-7 are both titled New Recto Red. Just wondering if 46-7 is actually New Recto Orange? (I haven't had a chance to load this set of presets yet to look at the preset.)

Thanks for picking that up, you're right. I'll fix that now

Leon,
Blew my damn socks off...sit well in the mix; Mesa tone, presence, and sustain without compression and several without drive blocks...(Boogies don't need no stinking drive blocks) but they do light up the Rectos. Love the Triaxis patches; just friggin awesome to my ears and set up very simple for the most part...amp, cab, and delays which sounded very smooth and musical. The Lone Star and Mark IV patches were balanced and versatile...I immediately threw in a looper on several and came up with a couple of new ideas.
At first I thought they were mixed just a bit on the trebbly side until I went from my ESP to my JEM and realized it was the difference in the guitars with the JEM being darker.....kinda like this eclipse we're about to have.
Most excellent my friend...Thank you!!

Awesome bro, seriously love your tones.. and your guitars! What are the pickups in that Singlecut? Ive got a '01 Singlecut with Rebel Yells that is my #1.

Thanks so much for the work that you do.
