It always saddens me when I see middle school crap like this (the "feud"). It's like a publisist or who ever doesn't feel the band/actor, etc. isn't big enough to draw on their own so they need to provide controversy. I like music from both bands, but can/do listen to Crue FAR longer/more often than Pearl Jam.

Same experience. I felt like I was getting an STD just watching them. One of my least favorite bands from that era.

Pearl Jam has many great songs I like, and I haven't listened to all their material. Likable Motley songs I could easily count on one hand.

I saw Neil perform in the early 00's. Looked like he just rolled out of bed with a dirty t-shirt that had food stains on it. He did do a good job on the songs he sang though.

Instrumentally and compositionally both bands are solid.
