Fractal Fanatic
This might be the gateway drug for me to buy a tube amp. Full circle. To become the very thing I swore to destroy
As a FM3 owner, the only interest I would have in the VP4 is if it's capable of doing the III style reverb... if it does I'll be interested for sure.Would be interesting if it has the same reverb quality (new algorithms) as the III, or “just” as the FM3?
Unsarcastically; I get that space can be limited. And I love me some HX Stomp form factor. But the "my stage is the size of a single floor tile" shit has gotten ridiculous at this point.

Been there done that only with two more people!
You had a stage?
https://thegearforum.com/threads/fr...product-speculation.6102/page-243#post-2697364 fx blocks when the FX8 had 8? Seriously?
I’ve met a fair number of guitarists who have a fully loaded, traditional pedalboard with a small unit doing amp simulation. Just a different mindset from the “all-in-one” and I could see it being easier for them to switch to a new small amp modeler vs starting from scratch with an all-in-one unit. For me, a single amp/cab block in a micro form factor is really more about on the go recording than it is about performing.
Being able to get Fractal quality modeling into my laptop bag would be just perfect.
So is this basically just an effects processor aimed at people who are still using real amps?
We've already got all of this in the fm3 and fm9?
I'm so surprised to read that people are complaining about "4 pedals only" while running expensive, heave and big boards with 10+ pedals, many of which are digital already, when they can run 2 VP4 max, and with Fractal's flexibility of switches and scenes have any combination of effects they'd normally use within just a couple of switches max.The VP4 would be a great addition to that pedalboard and could allow me to get rid of 3, maybe 4 pedals on that board.
Yes, I agree.I'm so surprised to read that people are complaining about "4 pedals only" while running expensive, heave and big boards with 10+ pedals, many of which are digital already, when they can run 2 VP4 max, and with Fractal's flexibility of switches and scenes have any combination of effects they'd normally use within just a couple of switches max.
Exactly. I will be replacing 2 H9s on my pedalboard with a VP4.Yes, I agree.
I see this as an 'Eventide H900' style thing.
Instead of two effects it has four.
Winner.
