FM9 tuner for intonation

What's the consensus around here? Is the tuner in the FM9 accurate to the point of being able to set intonation?

Indeed. If I remember right, Cliff said it’s as accurate as any Peterson (or more?) can’t quite recall. But yeah, the last 5 guitars I bought were intonated using my FM9.

I recall reading that the strobe should be used for intonation rather than the needle because it is more accurate in the upper register.

Yes, definitely read from the strobe for intonation (I do it for tuning too). I've got two digital Peterson tuners (V-SAM and Strobo Stomp), and the FM9 tuning solution seems to be just as accurate. You an even store custom offsets for sweetened tuning, but be sure to reset those offsets to zero if you are intonating!
