FM9 Firmware Version 8.01

Well I updated to the new firmware and I don't see any of my presets with the inverted font color numbers, I even imported a preset from the first backup I did 2 years ago and still don't get the inverted colors so don't know what to say about that 🤷🏻‍♂️.

That did the trick! now I can see it.
didn't even know about the zoom feature😀
Even though I have played Axe-FX since 2007, I never dive deep into it.
Have my presets I've used for shows forever, but at least now they are saved under the new FW.

One thing I did notice on both my Axe 3 and FM9T is how much more stable the tuner is now with the new FW.
I used a Polytune live because it was faster, but now I'll go with the one one the Axes

So with the new tuner color change, is it possible to change the color of the mini-tuner on the top of the preset and layout screens? I didn't care for the new cyan default so I switched to green, but the mini-tuner is still cyan.

I just realized it's actually there in the Release Notes but easy to miss:

Now when loading a preset that was created using a previous firmware version the preset number will be shown in inverted text on the large font home GUI.

I asked about this during private beta but I don't recall an answer.

It would make sense to adjust both, I think.
 
Actually, I'm now noticing that the color scheme has been changed overall. A lot of formerly green-colored items are now all cyan. Personally, I have a harder time seeing the contrast in cyan than I could in green. I wish there were a way to customize the color scheme. This would be especially helpful for people with specific color-blindednesses.
 
Not exactly sure if these are bugs, but I thought I would bring them up. I was playing around on the FM9 without FM9 Edit (using the front panel) and just changing channels on drives etc on the unit and noticed that any time I changed a drive channel, the screen would flicker like a second after that. It happens every time. I don’t think I’ve noticed that before so I thought I’d ask and see if that’s a thing or even really an issue.

Also, it seems the Dynacabs are zeroed out in terms of being in the center and right on the grill. I may be mistaken, but didn’t the Axe iii have a general starting point so the first thing you heard wasn’t cap center?

Also, I seem to remember if you leave Auto Dynacab on in the amp block, if you changed the channel in the cab block from a static IR (legacy) with a different impedance curve, it would follow the Dynacab and SIC for that channel of the cab, but then go back to the other selected impedance curve when you switch back to the static IR (legacy) on the previous cab channel. Is that true? I thought that was the result on the Axe iii with the editor at least.

Keep in mind though, I’m making all of these changes on the unit itself via the front panel on the FM9.

When in tuner, press page right on unit to access tuner configuration. If you change colour of tuner, it changes the colour of the mini tuner too.

Sorry seems I’ve been a bit of a numpty. I changed back from legacy to cyan and thought the mini tuner changed 🤪
Mini tuner stays cyan no matter what colour the actual tuner.

I've updated with Fractal-Bot, not in the Edit as noticed FW update warning since I swa it afterwards. After sevral attempts, Fractal-Bot
recognize my FM9. And updated to v.8.01. However, Edit sofeare says FM9 v.8.01 connected, but it goes so slowly and never reached
end. That being said, Refresh process goes on and on... No idea what's wrong with my undate. please help me.
