FM9 Firmware Version 8.01

The release notes state this means the preset was saved on an older firmware and needs to be refreshed.
Now im not so sure. I have the same thing and definitely refreshed and it's still there. Maybe I misunderstood the patch notes.

EDIT: Nevermind, simply saving the preset again was what was needed, not RANF (which happens automatically with new firmware releases afaik)

I guess I have to go through ALL 90 of my presets and manually save them... 🤷‍♂️

Fractool => batch setter => just resave functionality on a preset range

This doesn't appear to be working. It goes through all the presets but the color scheme is still inverted when it's done. Unless I'm doing something wrong in Fractool, which is always possible.

Maybe an update of the internal patch version is needed, will have to wait for a fractool update

Don't know if its user error but I'm on an original FM9 and after updating to 8.01, I lost trails and gapless between presets even though I have it set on "ALL". Did a RANF, did a full power cycle and no change. Still works between Scenes though. I have a gig tonight so I just reverted back to 8 and everything works perfectly so I'll try again later but wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue.

PSA - to get all presets saved to new firmware using FM9 Edit- go to a setting you never use (for me it's output level of channel D of input 1 block). "change" level from 0 to 0 and hit enter on keyboard (i.e. something is recognized as changed even though it didn't really change). Shift right-click on the block and select edit in multiple presets channel D only. Select all presets and hit enter. This will change that one parameter from 0 to 0 (iow no change) and auto-save each one with the current firmware.

Yes I've definitely noticed gapless switching between presets is "different," if not gone. Still works fine between scenes. I'm pretty sure I'm still getting spillover if that's what you mean by trails.

I believe it says in the release notes that this will happen until the preset is saved with new firmware.
