FM9 Expression Pedal Questions

I use a multiplexer block with inputs a volume and Wah block. The I use tap and hold on FS1 to change the multiplexer channel to choose between the volume and Wah input. That allows me to use either the volume or Wah in any scene. The Wah is bypassed toe down. The volume is configured to turn on the tuner when heal down.

How do you trigger the tuner with your volume heel down? I want to do that.

I am considering picking up an expression pedal, maybe two if needed. My questions are:

1. Can you use the same expression pedal for both Wah and volume control in different presets or scenes, or do you need two pedals, because each one can only be used for either/or?

2. Is there any reason, other than branding, to pay for the Fractal brand expression pedals? They are twice the price of the other name brands (Boss, Line 6, Korg, Zoom, etc.), which is fine if I actually have a good reason to spend the extra cash.
1- Yes...I can recommend the Mission Engineering SP-1-RB (Roland Boss)... https://missionengineering.com/shop/sp1-rb/ and it works flawlessly, you have to find the way how to affect the FX when you press the switch but is not a big deal...
2- The Fractal exp pedals are really fine but like you said, if you wanna save find other brands, I even try the M-Audio EXP pedals, cheap, weightless, with a TRS cable included, some people don't like but if you don't want to make a mess programming when you press the footswitch on the Sp1 or other brands just mount 2 expression pedals and you will have more freedom for what you want.... in my case I used the Boss FV500H which are super heavy and big, the SP1 for the Ax8 and AXE2 and the SP1 RB for the FM9, they are heavy and expensive, but effective, now if you want to save money and not go jumping around like killing cockroaches the M-Audio EXP are a good option, just take them out of the box and play because they even come with their TRS cable...

I like to use two pedals so I can run 1 exclusively for volume to raise and lower my overall sound. The second one I use for walk, whammy, reverb, depth, and volume, depending on the preset. Overall, weight of my board is concerningI like the EV 2 fractal models as they are smaller, lighter and really solidly made. I didn’t like the lightweight plastic pedals from some of the other other manufacturers.

I also use an EV-2 for volume control.
The DOD-E is generally assigned to the wah-wah.
I've tested several models: Fractal EV-2, Mission, BOSS EV-5, and DOD-E.
Since I'm also looking to save weight, this configuration suits me. Despite its small size, the DOD works well for wah-wah.
