I'm a bit late to the party on this thread, but is this a real possibility? I'd buy that tomorrow, I'm using mine with a separate mixer box right now.A lot of us are waiting for the FM4 Turbo (with true stereo in/out & analog dry through).
I hope I live to see it.
No...I'm a bit late to the party on this thread, but is this a real possibility? I'd buy that tomorrow, I'm using mine with a separate mixer box right now.

Any positing of the creation of an FMx is just speculation. You can find posts mentioning FM0/4/5/6. Heck, people have even taken the time to photoshop different configs they (personally) hope for. It's all bollocks unless it's posted by FAS.I'm a bit late to the party on this thread, but is this a real possibility? I'd buy that tomorrow, I'm using mine with a separate mixer box right now.

I'm not dissing anyone photoshopping a concept. It was done effectively for the larger font wish awhile back.I like this reply, albeit I am guilty of taking the time to photoshop a config I (personally) hope for!![]()
Maybe that should be the FM7P?

or FM5 with five buttons
or FM5 with five buttons
Ahh an FM9 - if only we could get one of thoseYou're thinking too small. Go bigger, an FM9 with 9 buttons. Now we'd be talking.
... no joy at all here in AU, as USA and Canada is gettting served first ...Cliff said …What y'all need to realize is that the form factors of all the foot controllers and modelers are the way they are for ease of manufacturing, and it's one way the prices are as low as they are. So it doesn't really make sense to make anything other than an FM3 and an FM9 from that perspective. I don't think Fractal is in the business of catering to the widest possible market. They fill a specific layer at the top of the market, and as I've said many, many times, they are tools for professionals, people who make a living with guitar sounds. They don't need to include every possible form factor. The hardware is flexible enough to integrate into almost any existing rig, using whatever pedals and/or controllers you want, or might already have.
"The entire product line was conceived years ago. The goal was to maximize the number of parts shared between products. The footswitch PC boards do three switches each. An FM3 has one board. An FC6 has two. An FM9 has three and an FC12 has four. All products use the same LCDs, encoders, side plates, etc., etc. This reduces cost and repair inventory. The FC6 and the FM3 are basically the same enclosure. The FC12 and FM9 are basically the same enclosure. This isn't a huge market. Margins are thin so you have to think of ways to minimize development and product costs. Parts bin methodology is the route we took on this generation." [1]
