I am quite new to all Fractal products, but I bought a fine unit that wasn't used that much. Tested all the presets and scenes, everything worked fine.
Now I have one Preset that keeps crashing the unit, number 244, some preset titled "HORRORFEST FM3", I have not created it, it was on the unit.
I looked in the manual and tried the solution to erase the preset, or save the "000" one, but it didn't work. As soon as I get there, it crasches.
"If your FM3 will not boot normally, the problem may just be the current preset. You can force the unit to load anempty initialized preset as follows:4. Power down the unit and wait five seconds.5. Power on holding HOME until the boot-up progress bar first appears. The FM3 will boot with an empty initialized preset in location “000”. You can STORE this to any other location too verwrite a problematic preset."
So, I can't go about erasing it that way. By the way, I thought reinstalling the firware would help, but it didn't, so I will not try that again.
Is there a chance I can erase the preset without going into the preset itself? It seems when I get there, it crashes somehow. I tried to to clear it from the "Manager" that I found by using the short-cut found in the UI, the "PRESET" option above "SCENES.
Looking at the FM3 unit now, the Preset turned up there now again. Will a restart erase it totally, or do I have to do something more?
