And another beta just dropped for the Axe-Fx III with updated compressors. My guess is this will also make it into 9.02 for FM3, which would mean no release version of 9.02 anytime soon. I am mainly waiting for the updated facory presets.

exactly this. I had a muted output issue with b3 as well. but I'll just roll back to b2 for our show on 2/8 (unless there's an update that says it's been fixed)... no biggie! this is beta

so, against everybody's better judgement, took a risk and didn't end up rolling back before our show. no problems! :)

I wish Cliff worked on the FM3 firmware, I can't wait for this to get out of beta and show us the new presets! Seems like the firmware for the AXEfx III moves much swifter......

I am just happy with the updates that fractal does for their customers. I will enjoy the new firmware when it is ready and it's not like the current firmware is out of date or something. I applaud Cliff and all the engineers at FAS for all the hard work they do to provide the best class of products out of all the modelers out there by far. Keep up the great work to the FAS folks!

This is in the latest AxeFX III beta, and I hope it makes it to the final 9.0x version for the FM3. This is huge for the way I use the Plex block. I can wait a little longer, but 9.0x has been in Beta for four months. That's not normal for Fractal.

Improved behavior of Plex and Multitap Delay blocks when changing channels or presets. If the type has changed the delay lines are cleared. If the type has not changed the delay lines are not cleared allowing for spillover between channels. If Spillover is on, the delay lines are not cleared between preset changes if the type has not changed.

I played two days with beta 9.02 (3) and designed a (wonderful) 82%CPU live rig setup for my dual outputs Chapman Stick. Now, on day 3, the FM3 Turbo, boots up with the knobs and switches completely unresponsive. FM Edit can not make contact. There is sound though, and external CV pedal moves are executed as expected.

As someone reported above, I too am using a filter block.

I need that filter block so I will return to the previous firmware now.

Well, that didn't work out well since the saved preset can not be imported into the legacy FM3 T firmware. I'll see if I can import it into the Axe III instead, and set up midi control pedals for rehearsal with the new preset I made. I will have to replicate that preset in the Axe III anyway for recordings.

EDIT: I worked the full day to recreate the lost preset on 9.01 and I found that the old firmware uses 88% CPU, which means the beta is more CPU- efficient. Well done, Fractal! :) Now, let's have tempo support in the song list for next, please.

This is the best way for it to be - the Axe 3 gets everything as it should given its the flagship product - and then Fractal do everything they can to cram as much as possible from each Axe 3 FW into the FM9 and FM3.

I cant imagine it working better any other way.

In my experiences, I think you are still running the CPU a little high. Would recommend you get the max CPU lower still, like 75%. I never have any issues if aiming for that.

I guarantee you that the FAS team is constantly working to use the least amount of cpu in every aspect of the beta/firmware. no matter how hard you try a ten gallon bucket will not fit 25 gallons worth of stuff. I appreciate that they are constantly trying to get us as much out of it that they can so 👍 to the FAS folks.

Word. When this one passes beta I still won't install it until a good while later.
Being new to Fractal, therefore lacking the experience with the unit, I will postpone any updates as far as I can. Months after the stable version is released, I may download and do the update.

When did you buy it? I grabbed mine last November I think, had to wait 0 days for it.
The initial FM3 waitlist and rollout was epic and extended, due in part to timing of the announcement and waitlist (and physical introduction at Boston’s AxeFEst) long before the actual release, which was further excaberated by manufacturing snafus (I am still a proud owner of a headphone-jackless model)
