FM3 Firmware Version 4.00 beta 3

I’ve always found that a few of the factory presets can be a little boomy. Most of which just need a little “low cut” added, depending on your monitoring setup.

This was last night through my headphones. They’re pretty good, Drop 58x. All I know is the Plexi 50 preset is really good. Found several gems and should have taken notes. Made it to the Tucana and ran out of gas.

Some of the ambient presets are great like one note synthestra
Fm3 sound track , Raja Drone
pitch follower, brown sound
deluxe pedal board and of course Freemans brilliant hours of fun
Drones of Arkaisis

if the next zip will still be beta 3 I suggest you include the build number in the file name so we'll be able to refer the bugs to specific builds. I guess it will be easier to track on your side as well...
Fan aside, sounds amazing with the updated presets... :grinning:

Oh yeah, the Plexi 50 scenes are excellent.

I see references to the updated Beta 3 link, but haven't found the actual link yet. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Actually a few posts up :) and of course again, please don't panic. I left the unit sitting for hours with a high cpu demanding preset and the FM3 stayed cool. So it's maybe just some small issue in the firmware that activates it accidentally.

Here you go. I don't know if that's most updated or whatnot, but that's the link I've seen shared that still produces a .zip download.

So I kicked it with the latest update beta 3...but something wasn't quite right. I reset the amp channel, put back in my 5 band eq on the output of the amp and adjusted the speaker drive settings back to where I had them.
Then I realized that when I put in 4.0 it had changed my input from -6 to -12.
So I put that back to -6 and BOOM! There it is!
This sounds fantastic!
Gigging it Tuesday and Wednesday nights this week at The WestGate Resort Casino here in Vegas...

I installed beta 3 and it works great for me. No fan issues, no weird computing hard drive sounds, and most importantly SOUNDS STELLAR.
Even OUT2 global EQ working if set to Copy Out1 ?
Thats the only issue I have so far with Beta3.

Right, I have not been able to update to Cygnus beta as due to some travelling and will do tonight.

Apologies as there are many posts and probably has been mentioned. Is the latest beta the one having issues with the fan or this has been addressed now and can be installed safely?

Cheers

Same here with the noise - I can definitely hear chirping noise coming from the unit whenever I choose Footswitch layout where there's tap tempo assigned to one of the switches. Temps look ok at around 50 degrees Celsius. As soon as I switch to another layout, the noise goes away. The problem occurred in the previous beta and nothing changed with this one.

It would be nice to hear from FAS whether it's safe to keep this FW.

From where in the unit? Location?

Short answer is: the latest FW fixed fan issues for some and others don’t. You need to check your case. I would recommend to install it and check it.

My output 1 volume did set itself to -10db , first time my FOH was like “hey where your volume at”
